Working on my 1995 5.0 V8 today. Noticed some seeping from the gasket at the bottom of the water pump, appeared to be from between back plate and pump. Pulled the pump and found a bunch of metal shards. Appears to be the remains of a small plate that was tack welded to the water pump vanes. Also the interior of the pump's aluminum housing was sliced up pretty good. Never seen this before. It's an Airtex AW4044H which I installed roughly 5 years ago. I'm slightly worried about all the... 1996 XLT 5.8L Seat belt dinger decided to chime incessantly. In trying to remove the module that contains it the module in front of it came apart. Sparks were seen. Chime was finally located and removed from that board. Ford really didn't want you to disable that thing! Known problems: No speedo or odo > trans does not shift correctly. No dome light or map lights Electric door locks function only in certain directions and conditions, and then not consistently. I'm at a loss as to what to... Body Control Module?

Hey Folks. Working off a 91 bronco, 5.8 engine, with the E4OD trans. Had issues with the trans and decided to convert the rig over to manual. I'm going to use a ZF 5 transmission as it seems to be fairly easy to swap over with little mods or adapters needed. I've rolled through a bunch of forums and other various forms of research, the job over all seems very doable. I've already started doing some of the simpler tasks, pedal switchover, transmission floorhump cover, little things. I've... 91 Bronco E4OD Swap to ZF 5
