Decca Corner Horn with Lowther 8" drive unit for sale

Decca Corner Horn with Lowther P6M This is a pre-stereo Hi Fi speaker although some have used two in stereo. Read what Hi Fi News said about it in 1957: https://www.radiomuseum.org/forum/pm6_re..._id=591530 and another article: https://www.itishifi.com/archives//2013/...1950s.html I have owned it for about 60 years and in that time the foam cone suspension and spider disintegrated but it is now fitted with modern speaker cone suspension and spider. I think it's in pretty good condition. As a piece of Hi Fi history I would like £200 for it. Film speed up.

Been reading about Taylor Swifts Opalite video being shot on film, I presume at 24 frames a second. When shown on 50Hz TV/video would it still be sped up by 4%? Or do they use some frame store gubbins to keep the speed & tone correct? Do they still use 3/2 pulldown for 60Hz systems?

Independent component supplier

Can anyone recommend an independent electronic component supplier in the UK? some years ago I did find one of these - a good old fashioned ring up tell him what you need, pay for it over the phone and he posts it to you! but have lost contact details - fed up with paying 50p for a capacitor and £4.95 p/packing! Radio spares, Farnell et al. Regards Nick

Ekco U319 Restoration

I have just started restoring an Ekco U319 radio - the first two photos show the radio as received. The case is now restored and set to one side ready for later re-assembly. The plastic case has been cut back with Solvol Autosol and the inset section at the front rubbed down and re-sprayed in Ivory gloss finish. Next job is to remove the original speaker cloth from it's back board and soak in Washing powder, will post more photos when this is completed. I have purchased a second U319A mainly for it's knobs which were missing on this radio but also for a parts back up should I need it, Nick Ekco U319 unrestored 1.jpg (Size: 977.78 KB / Downloads: 5) Ekco U319 unrestored 2.jpg (Size: 953.55 KB / Downloads: 5) Case cut back and inset sprayed.jpg (Size: 919.55 KB / Downloads: 5)

Cadet 2 woes

I've aquired a Rogers Cadet 2 pre & power amp which is a bit sick. The chap who had it before has tried a bit of repair work which looks susp' including fitting a 100uf 25v electrolytic on the wiper terminal of the balance control, surely that can't be right?. I need a schematic to try and sort it out, anybody know where I can get one?.
