How would a Seakeeper Ride effect a 1998 300 Marlin?

Like most GW Seafarers, the radio antenna is mounted on the side. I am adding a Radar and Radar Mount to my boat and want to install a new radio antenna on the top of the Radar Mount. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on which kind of antenna I should get and how tall. My current antenna is very tall and I have seen shorter ones, but don't know if they receive and transmit as well as the taller ones. Thanks for your help.

Just repowered a 94 Sailfish with new Suzuki 200’s. Ten hours in and performance suggests motors are mounted too low. Very slow hole shot. Have to pin it to get on plane. Won’t hold plane below 4000-4200. Cavitation plate is a few inches below edge of hull, and buried when running on plane. We’re talking with the shop about raising the motors. I’ve read through posts on here…Should we also consider going to 4 blade props? Now would be the time as we can still turn in the new props.

I installed the Seakeeper Ride active trim system (not the gyro!) on my 2003 330 Express this year. I did 3 200 mile (roundtrip) offshore fishing trips and I feel I can now give a real report on how it performs. Basically, I love it and feel that it was well worth the ~$22k total cost. I needed to replace the motor on my 2004 265 Express and found a direct replacement for the OEM AFI 34000. It's Schmitt Marine Heavy Duty 2-Speed Wiper Motor - 2.5" Shaft - 12v - I got it at Hodges Marine for $103. It's a 2 speed motor and I connected to the high speed wire. Perhaps this has been provided by others but hopefully it will help others with older Gradys with the AFI unit.

Hi, thanks for the add! Seriously thinking about buying a used Freedom 235 - I'll need to fly out to see it and ship it back home. I have never been on a 235 - just a 215 (neighbor's boat) and a 257 Fisherman in the Boat Specialist showroom. It would be great to see a 235, 255, or 275 before making the trip. By chance, any one know of one in my area that someone might be willing to let me check out? Thanks!

bought a new to me 2005 208 Adventure replacing cabin flags and striping. Looking for the lids The previous owner not very caring of the boat. Been looking for the lids and the plastic trim on the transom Checked with boat outfitters but they would have to make it custom still waiting on a price
