I would like to add a few planes to my woodworking tools and I'd be grateful for suggestions as to design, brand, size et cetera. I needed a block plane to adjust the fit of a couple of barn doors, so I bought one at Rona, but I've used planes before, and this was the worst piece of junk I've ever picked up. I returned it this morning. I'm not doing big heavy stuff, mostly guitars and other light jobs.

Dont know if this is the right place to post this but I just wanted to share my experience dealing with raven pickups aka northern rewinds. Brad sells some seemingly faithful representations of vintage to modern style pickups on reverb for a pretty good price point. Although i was not expecting too much from the pickups given the price point the whole experience with the seller was a total bust.
