New to the Harley scene, over the summer I inherited a 1200 Sportster Custom that my mother bought off the showroom floor in 2005. Been riding a couple years, but this my first name brand bike. It didn’t run when I picked it, but I got it going well enough to get a couple hundred miles on it so far.

My wife's Dad bought a new HD in 1979. She went to the dealer with him and rode with him home. He passed away at the age of 48 and her main thing was to get his HD. We got and I went through it and have it running great.

Morning all, This is for a 1999 sportster 1200c. Looking to upgrade the stock air cleaner to something classy looking like the s&s super or cycle but do I need to upgrade my carb jets? I'm not looking to upgrade my factory slip ons as I like the look and there's not much choice here in the UK without eye watering costs. I'm pretty hands on but if it's pointless without messing with the carb, I will leave it. Thanks martin

1st engine oil change on it 4 me. Also, I think this is the first none OEM seat, saddle type bags, grips, tank bib in 29 years, even the "Fancy" mirrors were OEM. What gets me is, why keep everything except the wheels? Unless someone knows better, I do not think these wheels were an option. I think if they were I would of kept this bike stock (Even though the heads, pipes, handlebars are not). Tell you though, doing your own oil changes is still the same as it ever was. I'm taking my time... Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, THUMPER the 1st!! (Place crowd roar here)

I have a 2008 CVO. 1. There is a ticking noise that seems become more pronounced the more things heat up. Faster with rpm. Any ideas? 2. There seems to be interruption in power at a certain RPM. Any ideas?

2002 road king. Took the outer primary cover off to replace the gasket because it appeared as if it was leaking from there. Put new gasket in, put the cover back on, put new primary fluid in, test drove it. It all went smooth. Bike sat for a day and when I started it up I got a loud nonstop squeal coming from behind the outer primary cover. I have no idea. Any help would be great.
