I'm having terrible luck recently with a project using lacquer-based spray cans. I only use lacquer, because the fast dry time helps to prevent dust nibs in the work. The chassis I'm working on at the moment is aluminum that I clear anodized to promote adhesion. Although not technically necessary, I did apply a first coat using Duplicolor etching primer. I rode a friends mini-bike as a kid (circa 1968) - I was hooked. As I recall it had a Briggs and Stratton engine. Then in college I got a job and bought a 1976 Honda 400F motorcycle - my first real bike. In my "adult" working years I owned many motorcycles including sport bikes that were over 1,000cc and very fast. Now, I am older (70-ish) and retired, and moved down to a Honda 500F. Found a pair of these little gems in better than expected condition. Still have a very soft/supple suspension so their FS should still be relatively low enough to work in a variety of enclosures. Not entirely sure what I'm going to do with them, but I'll document my journey here. Thought I’d share some of the horn loaded fun I’ve been up to. Some of yall might have seen my 816 build in the for sale section. I built another pair with JBL components (and red. Very red) for a local client here in Texas and they turned out awesome. 2226 woofers, rcf350 comp drivers, 511b horns. In this too modern (cheap) world, handmade high quality stuff is gratifying. Here is my alignment loupe made using a 10x linen tester glass, aluminum bezel, brass and rotation arms. After locating the loupe you can rotate the top arm to find the focus and right angle to see clear the stylus. Cheers Andre.

Single showpiece mono cabinet. I was going to find a mate, but it would be difficult and expensive to match this restored example. Will consider trade for output tubers(EL-34 and 6L6GC quads). $650 with Coaxial driver or $450 without.

Scored a pair of 802-8G with original diaphragms off the local FB marketplace. PO removed the terminals and hard wired to the diaphragms. Looking for two pairs of Altec terminals (or similar) to restore back to original design. Or, recommendations of where to buy. Like these. Thanks.
