Any of you men have this press? I'm close to pulling the trigger on one while they are $200 off the regular price and would like your opinions and feedback from anyone that might own one. I picked up some Cratex products from a discount place. I have seen videos where they used them after cutting threads on a lathe, instead of using a file. Any opinions?

So, I have this holder. I'd like to buy some inserts, general purpose steel, aluminum, whatever. Google tells me that I should be looking for a mtjnr2020k16 but I don't really trust her after ordering a few inserts for a different holder that didn't fit at all. Looking for suggestions. Its time to re-visit the binocular. This is roughly what I want. I started these over 5 years ago but got side tracked building recumbent bicycles. Came up with a 1932 South Bend 9 Junior. Bushings and running surfaces on the spindle are extremely good. Motor is a bi-directional 115 VAC that fits perfectly. I did not get the thread gears, nor the wrench(es) that came with the original. Apart from that it appears complete. The bed is cosmetically sub par but the saddle slides smoothly. I ran across this on FB marketplace and thought it was worthy of a post. JV Romig was a profilic tool and machine designer who had quite a few articles posted in Popular Mechanics. This metal shaper was in a 1928 edition. Unlike some of the other project shapers like Lewis or Pootatuck, this was a complete DIY including making your own castings. I am sure the talk of cheap chucks has come up before, but I couldn't find much with the search. My lathe is a Star from around 1895-1900; it is far from accurate. My chuck gave out (my brother used a cheater on the key) and my budget is about $120 ($150 if I have no choice). So, should I buy a used old one, or a cheap Chinese one? I'm looking at possibly buying a Powermatic Millrite MVN milling machine. It weighs about 1100 lbs. Would this 3 ft by 5 ft trailer work for hauling it home? Is it too small? The mill base is about 22" x 28", so I think it will be able to have the weight in front of (toward the tongue) the wheels for stability. Ther trailer will hold 2000 lbs.
