I'm curious as to what movies don't just have a lot of bass, but actually can realistically threaten subs that are running kind of hot or don't have a rumble filter. The only two that come to mind are War of the Worlds (lightning) and Master and Commander (cannonball). As I'm still learning the limits of my new DIY subs this is of interest to me.

Hi all, I've put together a site that scores every Dolby Atmos film I could find on two things that can actually be measured, and I'd value this forum's scrutiny more than most. Atmos Bubble and Boom! Index What it is 7,696 films, each scored 0–10 on: BUBBLE — how fully the mix uses the 9.1.6 layout: height activity, surround activity, and how many of the 16 channels actually carry signal. I researched the best subwoofer for a home theater because I want to improve the sound quality and get deeper, more powerful bass when watching movies and listening to music. I have been comparing w options and came across these two: ULTIMEA Poseidon M60 https://www.amazon.com/ULTIMEA-Surround-Subwoofer-Soundbar-Poseidon/dp/B0F62YBNSX Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 ... I have an old, very ordinary Gale Centre 10 speaker that is about 18cm deep (front to back). As the area where our projector shines is directly above a dining table, the centre speaker sticks out too much and gets in the way, so usually ends up being moved into a corner, and nobody can be bothered to move it back, which obviously isn't ideal. The main speakers are ceiling mounted, so don't get in the way. So I'm looking for something as shallow as possible, ideally around 5cm, that I can... Seeking a very shallow centre speaker

Fellow home-cinema people, I'm offering what remains — in truth, the complete heart — of a Jamo Digital CineMaster system: the full, fully ACTIVE, THX-certified 5.1, made in Denmark around 1999–2002. If you already know these, you know why I'm posting here among people who get it, rather than... „For the Jamo faithful: first-owner Digital CineMaster — fully active THX, still stunning" Digital CineMaster (active 5.1), first owner
Hi Folks, I've popped in to your site from time to time, and I'm not certain if I can keep up to many here (patience please), but I thought I'd join and see what I can learn, and maybe contribute a little from time to time. I'm from the West Coast of Canada, born in Vancouver, BC. I still live in a suburb nearby with my wife and youngest adult son. I am a licenced Electrician with Electrical Technician level training many years ago. After more than a decade on the tools, I moved away from... Thanks for having me!

Hisense has built a reputation for packing a lot of performance into TVs that cost considerably less than many of the flagship models that we see on the market. That’s become especially true with its U-series, where features that once belonged to much more expensive displays have worked their way down the lineup. The new U6SF Pro continues that trend, bringing MiniLED with local dimming, Anti-Reflection & Glare-Free display, and a full smart TV platform into a price range that is much easier... Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to review the OSD Nero XMAX11, which is the company’s flagship 11-channel Class AB home theater amplifier. It was an impressive piece of hardware that offered a lot of power and flexibility for larger theater systems. After spending time with the XMAX11, I wanted to see how OSD’s other Nero amplifiers compared and what kind of performance they could deliver at a much lower price point. That led me to the Nero... I researched the best portable speakers for the past few days because I want a reliable speaker for music, parties, outdoor use, and everyday listening. I looked at reviews from trusted sources, and these two caught my attention: Bose SoundLink Max Bluetooth Speaker https://www.amazon.com/Bose-SoundLink-Portable-Waterproof-Bluetooth/dp/B0CVL1K7DX?th=1 JBL Charge 5 Portable Waterproof Speaker ...
