Started one at the weekend and it is a completely different challenge to the last few years. Survival budget, everyone in the division better than you, and the board expecting you to work miracles with a wage bill a fraction of everyone else's. How is everyone else getting on? Interested in what people are doing tactically and whether anyone has managed to keep us up first time without selling half the squad.

Mine is playing an instrument. Bought a guitar about twelve years ago, learned four chords, put it in the spare room and have moved house twice with it since without touching it. What is everyone else's, and has anyone actually gone and done theirs? Would genuinely like to hear from someone who picked something up later in life and stuck with it because I am rapidly running out of excuses.

Ours is a cheap air fryer that we resisted for about three years and now use more than the oven. Feel like an idiot for holding out as long as I did. What is everyone else's? Interested in the small unglamorous stuff that has actually made a difference rather than anything anyone would show off about.

Added it up properly for the first time and did not enjoy the experience. Between the various subscriptions needed to see a full weekend of football, plus the odd pay per view, it comes to a genuinely silly amount over a year. What is everyone doing? Picking one and accepting you will miss games, going to the pub for the rest, or just paying for the lot and not thinking about it too hard?

Traditional pre season thread but somebody has to start it. There are usually two or three walking a tightrope before a ball is kicked and it is remarkable how often everyone can see it coming except the club itself. Who is going before Christmas, and who is the one that will surprise everyone? Bonus point for anyone who correctly calls the club that sacks someone after a decent start purely because of one bad fortnight.

It was brought in to stop away fans being priced out and at the time it made a real difference. Several years on, everything around it has gone up while the cap has stayed roughly where it was in real terms. The counter argument is that clubs would just find other ways to charge you and at least this is a fixed number you can plan around. Is it still fit for purpose or does it need looking at again?

Deadline day felt like a disaster at the time. We had a verbal agreement for Jean-Matteo Bahoya, he said no, Leeds got it done overnight and the story became how the Tigers were beaten to a signing by a club a season further down the road than us.
