Bradgate and Market Bosworth

I've been railway modelling since the early '60's starting with the Triang Princess set (I still have her!). I went through the usual stages of adolesence, marriage, mortgages and children, with a dabble into N a few years ago, but took the plunge back to OO when SWMBO agreed to the purchase of a new shed in 2007. She missed the smallprint which granted planning permission for a new railway!! So thats... Bradgate and Market Bosworth

Progress on some rolling stock items

While these are likely to be doing duty on Plankton they were started before the layout. One is a short 4-wheel brake 3rd, this has been made from the front half of a Ratio long 4-wheel brake 3rd luggage coach with unrepairable running gear, brake 3rd the luggage part was a good way to being made into a 'Auto Lugg'. A luggage van with an auto coach cab, as one of the interchangeable bodies of the powered van to use... Progress on some rolling stock items

Hello, I’m new here, new to the hobby, and clueless.

Long story short. I inherited a layout, did nothing with it for 15 years. Finally got it going and was then going to give it away. Instead of that, back in January I decided to rebuild it. Many hours and many monies later, I am where I am in the middle of a project that’s never going to finished! 1. Where it started. 2. Where it started again. 3. Where I’m with it now. [ATTACH... Dawn Quest and Harry

Saw this post on Facebook. "We’re very sorry to say that Harry and I were involved in a serious road accident while travelling home from the Cambridge model railway show yesterday evening. I have been discharged from hospital with significant bruising and injuries to my ribs, back, hip and leg. Harry has a fractured sternum and remains in hospital for monitoring, but we are relieved to say that he is currently stable. Sadly, the car has been written off. I have yet to see the damage to... Castle Blanding - change for the Quenten Priory branch.

Hello and welcome to my third layout, or rather the third attempt at my first layout! The model The model is in OO gauge using a mixture of Peco Streamline and Fleishmann Profitrack forming a double track continuous loop around a central well which is accessed by a lift up flap. The Fleishmann track is leftover from v1 of my model. It was bought second hand and is really good but for the discover, just in time, that most of my locos derail when crossing the curved posts, of which... Newcomer designing and 3D-printing N scale models

Hello wello everyone! I'm munchou, been in Japan for more than a decade, and last month I bought my first train kit (from KATO) in a second-hand shop. Yay! Years ago, I was offered an N scale (they call it "n gauge" here, by the way) locomotive (a D51-498) that has been sitting on my shelves since then. I didn't even know it was motorized. I also got a local police station (TOMYTEC) as well, I realized I lost a pole. Note that here the scale for props is 1/150, as it seems only trains are... SHGP's Ever Changing Schedule of Layouts

Morning all. Rather than create different threads for my builds which are in different stages of development, it's much easier to have them condensed together into one thread. Circumstances are constantly changing and my build plans seem to swapped around daily lately! So currently there are several layouts in different development stages. I recently joined the Fens Model Railway Club and as of tomorrow i'll begin ferrying over the sections of Sutton to their storage. This will free up... SHGP's Ever Changing Schedule of Layouts

Laser cut models

I thought I would start a new thread showing some of the projects I am working on. Normally I have posted on the layouts thread but it isn't really appropriate all the time as the models I design, cut and sometimes build aren't always for me. So I thought I would start this thread with a few pictures of the latest projects. Some are a little further on than the pictures I have but you get the idea. 3 lane engine shed in N gauge (OO gauge coach) 3 lane... Laser cut models

Hornby TT 120 Code

Hi, I'm new to building Model Railways, and I've decided to go down the TT120 route. I'm using the Hornby TT120 track, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what "Code" this track is? Thanks in advance, Ian
