I just purchased a pair of K-Line O31 path Super Snap switch tracks. At first the right hand switch was operating perfectly, but now won't do anything. The left hand switch keeps chattering, no matter which configuration I connect the controller wires in. I've checked to see that I have the insulating pins in the control rails. I also checked to see if the metal connectors below the rails were touching the control rails. Any thoughts ? [ATTACH... K-Line Super Snap Switch Tracks Question

Ok first prototype of lighted caboose used on old atlas i had. Made a lantern and added interior led and resistor to work off track power but made might go with a mini power cell to eliminate flickering might add another resistor to lantern to dim it a bit

Hi! I am starting a new layout build in a 3,2m x 4.7m room on a logging theme. I have not decided yet if it is going to be On30 or Sn3. After multiple failures and passes, I have come up with this track plan: Any comments are welcome! Thanks!

Hello Everyone, Looking to purchase a factory Analog Light Circuit Board # 17681 that came with the Kato N Scale SD40-2 Mid Production variant type made in 2006 for the A.T.S.F. (Santa Fe Railroad MKM rebuilds) which had both nose lights and ditch lights. My thought is that someone in this forum has one of these and swapped out this factory board and upgraded to a DCC board. My layout is a traditional DC system. Maybe someone kept this factory DC board in a spare parts box? Worth a... Kato Light (LED) Circuit Board # 17681 (Analog) for use on a Kato N Scale SD40-2 Mid Production A.T.S.F. (Santa Fe) with nose lights and ditch lights

I just received my first decoder, for my P2K SW9 switcher. Luckily, it's a fairly basic decoder with only 3 available lighting functions (including front and rear headlights). It seemed like a great way to wet my feet, and I'm comfortable with soldering and basic electronics, and following instructions. I researched the connections online prior to ordering. When the board arrived, I noticed that some of the board layout differed from what I was expecting, and I don't want to make uneducated... NCE SW9-SR decoder
I was wondering if someone could help me. I recently bought another DS74 for my layout due to the one I have currently I use all 4 terminals for 4 switches and now I have two more I am adding to the controls. My question is, do I need to reprogram the NEW one or just connect it in series? FYI: I am using for all my switches the Tortoise 800-6000 slow motion machine. Also I am controlling them via both a Digitrax throttle and JMRI software. Oh another FYI I am only using pins 1 and 8 on the... Adding switch machines

Has anyone built a track plan published by Atlas in one of their books like “Atlas HO Layouts for Every Space”? Did it fit together perfectly (or almost perfectly) using the products Atlas called out in their “ATLAS Track Products Required" list? I ask because I’ve been trying to plan a published layout that I liked that did not have product list. I found sections hard to connect without using flex track. I also found it had grades from 3.1% to 4.3% so I stopped workin g on it. I... HO Track Plans published by Atlas vs. SCARM vs. Atlas Track Planning Software
Here is a schematic of my new N scale layout. It is based on the old Atlas Granite Gorge and Northern from the "6 HO track plans" that my dad got for me back in the early 1960's. My dad and my brothers built this in two locations. I finally restarted in N scale in 2022. I took the original plan, modified it a bit, then added peripheral loops and hidden storage in mountains. I used Atlas and PECO turnouts, Azatrax optical detectors, Arduino UNO and MEGA microcomputers for control, and an... My N Scale Layout
