I'm considering getting a T-Roc R-Line as an upgrade to my Polo. One of the goals I'd like to pursue for my new car is being able to take it offroad slightly more comfortably than the Polo. I'm not talking about 4x4 trails, I just mean on dust roads on the odd camping trip. Does anyone have any experience taking this car offroad on some camping trips and how it held up? I've heard the main downside for that is the ride height, so I was wondering if anyone has considered raising it slightly... T-Roc off road (Lift possible?)

1978 LEB 1200cc with 17.5k (Genuine milage) Hesitating / Bogging down just as you apply throttle. Once past this it sounds great and goes well. Any ideas? Valve clearances checked Timing checked static and with Gun New Carb (Bbt-made no difference to the standard Solex 30 Pict 3) New Plugs, Leads, Rotor Arm, Points, Cap and Coil. All plugs are the same colour. Running out of ideas now. Anyone know what the standard jetting should be and how to dial out this hesitation / Bogging? Video... Hey all, happy to find this forum. Just came into a 2007 Beetle convertible. Has been sitting in my folks driveway mostly undriven for a few years collecting dust and an increasing lust for repair/attention. Haven't had the chance to do much DIY work on a car myself but looking forward to learning/figuring some things out myself. At present the car needs a number of things addressed: low oil pressure rear glass separation (new top needed?) headlight / tailight issues... intro from a *new* New Beetle owner (2007 convertible)

So Elsa has been running great for the last 18 months. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. I went to pick her up from getting her new pinstripes laid and she was dead. My artist is a former mechanic and had a battery charger and we got her started in about five minutes. He tested the alternator and it was good. Both the battery and alternator are only about 18 months old. I was told that a common problem is the door lock actuator. I tested that, and both doors lock when I press the lock... Parasitic draw
I have a 99.5 vw jetta 1.9 ALH and just died abrutly on road. Cranks but does not fire. What I have done so far: I have 80 PIN ECU, NOT THE 121 (VW 038 906 018 BK) have good charged battery. checked all fuses in fuse panel for 12V on both sides of fuse with key on, no issues there. verified relay 109 is working, big blue wire gets 12v with key on. I even checked the ground wire between 109 and ECU, no resistance and has continuity. I even tossed in a new 109 relay, no... 99.5 jetta ALH TDI no start but cranks, no CEL, No glow plug light not relay 109
Our 2004 convertible just popped up a front right seat igniter resistance too high code the other day after I popped it forward to let my kid in the back seat and then reset it. It's a 01218:001 code. We saw this on our 2000 TDI back in the day as well on the driver side as an 01217 which was the wiring harness having a break in it due to the seats being folded and unfolded and wires breaking. I know that 18 years ago when we owned that car parts were readily available but I cannot even... Seat airbag harness fault

Anyone experiment with a BKD Head on a BEW block, from what I could find the head gaskets are super similar and the combo would give the BEW DOHC 16V
