I think 140° is the maximum but the warmer you run the temperature the lower the coefficient of performance with heat pumps. impressive! i can imagine swiping the card for fuel on a diesel truck is painful. i figured out our fleets mileage for a week in August, and it was 7,000 miles per day, M-F. and that was with leaving some trucks onsite. I think we have a shot at $7 per gallon.

Even wealthier folks are feeling it..I can tell with my customers. I’m lucky all utilities are included at the hotel house.

Just put one of these in. Air to water heat pump. My friend built a garage and didn’t want to use a propane boiler. Ok for radiant floor heating but not baseboard. He has a separate mini split for AC . We’ll see how it does, my first rodeo with these.

so, i think its likely the price of heating oil could double that of last year. i had this all figured out what i burned at my last house before converting it to Natural Gas. and i just threw it all away. but i think i was on the 5 gallon per day average. You dont really think you can heat any home for like $500 for a winter, do you? I mean, @Dirtwolf might spend $500 on oil just for before and after the wood boiler gets going. This is where the latest "rebate check" or "refund" or "dividend" or what ever they wanna call it, will come in handy.
