Hello Folk,,,,,, I am an old old codger who has always played about with really old cars and I have an old dumper truck and an old JCB3C111 I was very fortunate when at 16 years old my mother got me into a 5 year engineering apprenticeship and the first 6 months was in the workshops learning how to gas weld and use a lathe and milling machine. Hello folks. I had a little thread going on the old cefourm that I kept updated with pictures. It always got abit of interest but as posting pictures became near impossible on it i havnt posted anything in years to it. So I decided to start a new one here. Advice on purchasing a mechanical shovel for a gravel pit A friend of mine has bought a small hill—a gravel pit—and holds a permit to work it and extract aggregates. He owns a 6-ton Kubota; currently, he uses a Caterpillar 320d (borrowed from a friend) to extract the material and a 4-axle Iveco Trakker for transport. So on Friday I headed over to the Entreprenad live show in the south of Sweden for a wee look around . Flew into Copenhagen airport and hired a car and drove over the bridge (and the tunnel) into Sweden, a dear feckn bridge, £50 each way The show was small enough, id say the size of scotplant but had plenty to see and all the main brands were there.
So on Friday I headed over to the Entreprenad live show in the south of Sweden for a wee look around . Flew into Copenhagen airport and hired a car and drove over the bridge (and the tunnel) into Sweden, a dear feckn bridge, £50 each way The show was small enough, id say the size of scotplant but had plenty to see and all the main brands were there.

I’m for getting a new 6 ton straight tip dumper shortly - the simple question is go for a cab or no cab? I’ve never been on a cabbed version , my main issues and thoughts on it are - how loud/hot does it get? Will have aircon but on a hot day it’s fighting a full glass cab and being sat ontop of the engine so will it be effective?
