I just had the carbs out on my 99 R1. Not the first time but now when I switch the igniton on the speedo needle jumps to 7500rpm intermittently. What is the bike trying to tell me?? Other than that it starts up and runs normally.

Hey everyone, recently I had a pretty bad death wobble experience on the 2016 R1 for over a half mile long. When my bike stabilized every light on the dash was freaking out and I had no front brake pressure at all. Knowing this, I turned the bike off and back on immediately. Magically i instantly had brake pressure and the dash was back to normal. What should i look over? I made sure my rotors were dry still, I checked the lines, lever, calipers and master cylinder for any leaks or problems... Death Wobble/Tank Slap

Hi everyone I recently blew my head gasket and am trying to replace it on my own. I'm looking for some general tips on the repair process. I have seen the service manual on how to remove the engine. It does not specify that I need to remove the tank before removing the engine. I assumed I had to remove the tank. Also a mechanic friend of mine also mentioned that I should look into rebuilding the whole engine to make sure nothing else went wrong when the head gasket blew. This is my first... Hi in the uk the Yamaha r1 2009-2011 lower main injectors are part number 14B-13761-00-00 usually have 1470 stamped on the side and 2012 - 2014 are 5S7137610000 with 1250 stamped on the side both denso does anyone know what the differences between the two are like cc flow rate open and closing time i have the 1470 version in as stock but i bought a low millage throttle body and it came with the 1250 type not sure if it will run lean or rich without a flash tune or dyno i cleaned the... 09-11 r1 vs 12-14 r1 lower main injectors?

Hi everyone! It so happened that I damaged the dashboard in a traffic accident and had to replace it with one from another motorcycle, but my mileage was around 27,000 km, while the new one has 55,000 km. Does anyone have a dump from a dashboard with a mileage between 25,000 and 35,000 km?

So I have a 2026 R1s somehow i managed to put the battery on backwards, it’s one of those antigravity batteries. Had the bike off it’s got a feature where you press this button and it auto jumps its self. I accidentally triggered that mode with the polarity backwards saw the 50a fuse pop. I went to auto zone to grab a 50a bussman fuse from autozone, The original was oem. The dash turned on and lights, fuel pump primed and it sounded normal but cranking it would crank a little slow and... I put the battery on backwards!!

Yeah so I have a 2016 R1s was replacing the battery with one of those new antigravity batteries. They way it went it was actually backwards polarity and I didn’t catch it till it was too late. It blew the 50a fuse went to get a autozone bussman 50a fuse that looked the same. Dash lights turned on, lights, fuel pump primed but it would crank and let out small putters thought maybe it was the new battery tried the old one I had just started the bike with earlier that day and same thing. I... I put the battery in backwards

I tried accessing the link for this process and it said I wasn’t allowed access or there was an error. Anyone have another link or detailed instructions? I have the radiator off to check the plugs and the airbox off trying to get to the smog plates but I see them on the radiator side much more accessible. Wondering where the ais system is I’m supposed to remove and add the cap to.

need a new front wheel and came across Arashi wheels online for like 20% the price of an OEM one. supposedly also cast aluminum and same weight so it seems pretty comparable. Wondering if anyone knows if they're decent/good enough for street use
