Let's talk waxing

Years ago I believe I remember reading a Velo News article regarding chain waxing. As good as the article was with all the explained benefits I just couldn't wrap my head around "all that work". Fas forward a decade or so the advent of COVID working from home and watching You Tube I came across ozcycling this guy, again brought out the benefits, but also made the process seem so easy. So I jumped in and can't see going back. Let's share our experiences process and what we use here for the... Let's talk waxing

Cycliq cameras

Just curious if any of you run a Cycliq Fly6 or Fly12 camera? Cuz I learned something new today... I've had their front and rear cameras for about 3 years now. I've been manually turning them on and off every. single. ride. Circling back a little, I had previously given up on Garmin's light network on my older Edge 530 and UT800 headlight/Varia tail light - it would just drop out constantly, effectively making the light network useless. With the Fly12's light, I've ditched the UT800. The... Cycliq cameras

What happened to the Merlin Magia?

I live in Australia, so information on Merlin is pretty thin on the ground. I have a 2005 Magia and obviously have seen it disappear off the 2006 catalogues. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light as to the reason why it was dropped and has its place been filled by the CR3/2.5 Works or some other model? I love this bike - its like nothing I have ever ridden before and it's speed, comfort, looks and handing are all first class - so why drop it? Cheers.

Gravel patches on road rides

I am not exactly a novice. I have a few thousand miles on a bicycle saddle and tens of thousands of miles riding motorcycles over the years. Gave up on motorcycles about 1.5 years ago. About 30 years ago I played with trail riding and even road a few MTB races in the senior division. Was all of 35 or so then. But I only had fun and never won. These days my rides are one to three hours and many around town routes a few out on the state/county roads. In those rides, the one thing that has... Gravel patches on road rides

Nice !!! Aerotech Shorts

I use and like Black Bib shorts most of the time and they work but lately I've been wondering if there is something a bit more comfy. BB are cheap, $35 per pair and I have 4 new pair and 2 a bit older. Work well but pulled out a pair of Aerotech that I purchase about a year ago and don't use much. I like them but they have that cargo net thing on the thigh and I really don't care fore it. Maybe that's why I don't use them much. The BB's being good enough, I use them 95% on my rides. Then...
