Well now, for years i've been picking up older equipment and refurbing it and donating to dot.orgs, mostly veteran groups, any way, i picked up a grizzly cabt, saw for a song and a drive, and it needs a motor, its the type that hangs on the whatchamacallit, lol. anyways, i've found them from 500 to almost 900, so question is, (grizzly doesn't offer this motor any more ( it is a left tilt unit), my question is, has anyone fabbed a mount to use a std motor mount , kinda hard for me to... I am providing coffee for an outdoor event. Probably 100 cups per day. I want to use Coffee Mate pump liquid creamer because it doesn't need refrigeration. I do not want to use single serve creamers because of the litter from the little cups. The two flavor choices I have are French Vanilla or Sweetened Original. I know about toothing planes and sanding with 80 grit, but truthfully I've never done it. I do not have a toothing plane, but I'm never averse to buying a blade. I don't usually do any sanding. Have I gotten away with something or should I be doing one of these? If so, which is your preference?

This has been on list of things I have wanted for a long time, finally got to it today. I bought the screw over a year ago. Had the aluminum and wood sitting in the shop, the moon was in the right phase, wanted to do something a little different, and here we are! The wood is hard maple, 40mm thick. The aluminum is 9mm x 75mm (actually 3/8 x 3) but I have gone metric in my dotage. I will be using this mostly to do inlay work on boxes.

Hello everyone. I thought I would post a picture of the clamp rack I recently finished. I had been storing my clamps in several deep drawers. This came to mind after I found a set of casters I had forgotten that I had. The base was half lapped and the tower is build with pocket screws. It works very well.

I'm hoping someone can help me solve a bit of a mystery... I have 2 parts that I saved as .tap files from the same Vectric file. They both have matching pocket toolpaths. The slots are 14mm wide x 1670mm long x 12mm deep. I used the same 6mm endmill for both parts. There are multiple of each all cut out of separate material. The slots on part A all came out at 13.2mm wide instead of 14mm and the slots on part B are all 14.8mm wide instead of 14mm. How is that possible? The drawing is... Read more

This is an Andy Glenn design and very comfortable. All four posts and the back rungs are steam bent. Most of the wood is from a post oak that came down two blocks over. Also some red oak, and the arms are walnut. Reed seat and back, all finished with India ink and soft wax. It's a fun chair to build.

I'll be collecting social security this fall as I scale back the workload for my business. I will still be taking on a few small jobs for the next year or so, but only with customers I've worked with before. I'm planning on keeping the business insurance ($1750 a year) for awhile as well. Just wondering if any of you have any tips on running the business on a smaller scale or even stopping completely. I can't se keeping the insurance if I'm just building one or two projects a year.
