At 36k miles, my tyres are currently at ~3mm. I've swapped to make sure they wear at same rate and they are all currently at ~3mm. Going into winter in a few months time, where they'll be just below 3mm at around 38-40k on the odometer. Would you change to all-season with <3mm left? News are saying there will be extreme weather this winter. I read tyres have degraded performance <3mm. But I was hoping to go beyond 40k with these tyres. Which I think they will comfortably do if seasons... Tyres: <3mm OEM summers, would you change them to all-season this winter?

Just having a nosy over a new build of 300 homes on a field behind us, part of the application was mandated EV charging and Solar, This one really does seem such a wasteful box ticking exercise on some houses, (This one in particular there are others similar) 1 The Panels are roof inserted leading to major roof works in the future if changes etc needed 2: The position on this house in particular makes no sense, the property is just clearly not viable for solar so just why!! Hello, To start I’m mainly charging on a 13amp granny charger at home. But I have also tried several different public charging stations that I know works with my car. I have an Zoe with df044 fault. 0ohm insulation upon charging I then used the insulation tester and a faulty ac compressor was found. I changed the compressor with a new one and double checked the insulation on all the HV connectors going into the bcb. Everything seemed good. Plugged in the charger and still df044 but... It seems that the government will approve the production licence in the coming weeks. All the necessary equipment seems to have already been manufactured and installed and it seems minimal work is required to connect it to the UK mains. The Jackdaw gas going into the UK mains will displace liquified LNG that comes from Trump land or somewhere else overseas. I've just had my Hypervolt Home 3 Pro installed, but I'm running into some trouble with the Ethernet connection. It stops working roughly every hour, and the only way to fix it is to reboot the Hypervolt. I've tested the cable run and its wired perfectly with the run being capable of 5 gigabit according to the tester. What’s odd is that when I plug a laptop into the same network cable, it works perfectly without any issues. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this issue... I know this subject line will probably trigger a lot of people who have very firm ideas about whether new tyres should go on the front or the rear. This post is not bait - I genuinely think it's time to re-examine this piece of "handed down wisdom" to see if it still makes sense with the cars of 2025, vs the cars of several decades ago, because I don't think it does make sense anymore. To be clear, I'm not talking about putting brand new tyres on the front when the rear is down to the... Better tyres on the front for modern front wheel drive cars ?

Probably not that big to some but maybe it is to others. So BYD release a kei car in Japan "The Racco" (means sea otter). So while it's a boxy small car we don't care about it's actually a test bed car for BYD X-Pack. So instead of all the associated EV gubbins being under the bonnet with all it's enclosures, heat sinks, wiring ect. It's all built into the battery case and sealed up. The primary objective is so they can hit crash safety targets with much smaller front ends on cars... BYD X-Pack genius idea or crazy idea?

When we got our Renault Scenic in July, I also got an Ohme Home Pro via Octopus. We're on Intelligent Octopus Go and normally when the car needs charging I just plug the car in on an evening and have the charger set to 'ready by 7.00am' and usually 'add 50%'. In most cases this will bring the car up to the maximum charge that we have set in the car at 80%. This works most of the time. But, quite randomly it seems, it just doesn't do anything. Either doesn't charge at all, or like last... Ohme issues with overnight charging

If you use multiple EVs, pick the one that you do the most miles in.

Hi, I've spent all day chasing a fault with the rear wiper and fog light, because I do not have access to the schematic. Anyway, I traced it back through the BCM and that does not get a supply on the red wire with an orange (or white, maybe brown) stripe. Of course that disappears into the loom. Worked briefly when I touched the fuse panel, but for the life of me i can not repeat and all fuses test good. It would make a big difference to know the right fuse, I can only find lists /... ZE50 fuse list
