What proportion of Stratocasterland actually prefers the Stratocaster when compared to the other usual suspects. I am a deeply closeted telecaster preferrer and got to curiousing. Thank you ($100,000 CAD to all members if Telecaster wins the election)

So what guitar-related purchases have you made in the last 48 hrs? Picked up some soldering accessories. Ordered a brass tip cleaner sponge thing from Hakko and got the silicone holder & brass cleaner that Weller sells, as well. I believe that's it. What about you?

This is one that I think is fairly well known by The Pretenders although maybe not as much as their biggest hits. It’s a personal reminder of how talented this band is (was?). As a naive metalhead in my youth I liked them plenty but sort of wrote them off as “simple” music. Every time I cover one of their songs I’m reminded of how wrong I was. Add this to the list of things I don’t understand: People talk about learning scales as a fundamental. But what does this mean? Major scale — yes, I get it. It is fixed and immutable — and the foundation of our Western music. Must learn by sound and by fretboard geometry. But then what? Pentatonic?
