Hi All, I just got the Faderport 8, and v8 comes with it, that's pretty cool. I'm on v7, and quite happy with it, but v8 beckons me. I have a couple of VST2 instruments and a Cakewalk shortcut scheme (modified), but otherwise nothing unusual. Is there anything to consider when upgrading? (I do recall that going from v6 to v7 was extremely smooth, every setting and VST carried over without issue.) Thanks.

I want to add rubato to my audio file, but that doesn't appear to be an option. Suggestions?

I bounced my midi tracks and modified the volumes on them (set to read). They played as intended. Then I did a mixdown of the modified audio tracks--but there was no sound on them. After 30 frustrating minutes, I tried playing the tracks again--and now there's no sound at all. I'M DESPERATE! I need to upload two songs tonight, but I can't finish my songs if I can hear them!

I have just decided to save money and not buy a recording mixer, and use the computer instead.....so I just bought an audio interface. .. I am trying Studio One and it is already reminding me why I gave up on Ableton Live years ago. There is a trend for huge drop down menus, hundreds of tiny buttons , an infinity of options and a increasingly finer granularity in a professional piece of software.... hoewever, I don't need that. Anyone stumbled across this before? Been working on a update to a template of mine - and I am turning things off and on as required. Yesterday - when I clicked the "wrench" in the lower left of the mixer to pre-set my input controls etc - I see this: A series of "-" in these checkboxes. Still on v6 but I notice there’s finally a v8 demo and although there’s nothing in v7 or v8 that I really want or need I thought I may give it a go and see if anything changes my mind. However, to test it properly I need to use one of the proper songs that I made in v6 but I want to make sure I can go back to v6 once the demo expires (assuming I don’t upgrade). I’m fairly sure that once you’ve opened a song in v8 (and save it) you can’t then open it up in v6 so I’ll be sure to make a copy... Read more

Hi, I have a brand new Faderport 8 set to Studio One mode. It displays my mixer channels, and I know it's receiving MIDI (faders move on playback), but it is not sending MIDI. This happened before, and a reboot was enough to fix, but now that's not working. My setup is simple, but I'm not sure what to try next. Thanks!
