I’m 22 years old. I went to uni to become an accountant, worked for a little over 12 months and quit because I refuse to waste my 20s (and life) working at a desk for someone else when I could be building my own business. Right now, I’m doing the jobs myself. I plan on getting employees as soon as I'm bringing in enough work for a full schedule, so I can get out of the work ASAP to be working on the business not in it. I already have a decent website, automations in place, Facebook ads... Read more

Hey Fastlaners, My name is Flo, I'm 35, from Austria, and I've been running a progress thread in the Insider section for almost a year. I didn't want to share all information to public in the past, but now i reached the point, where i think anything can be shared - more to this later! - so here's my full story, compressed into one post, followed by the progress in the next weeks, months and hopefully years!. Upfront: Thanks to @MJ DeMarco for his input in the Books! You changed my... Read more
I’ve had several business ideas over the years, but the same uncertainty kept bothering me: Is there actually a market for this, or am I about to waste months and money building something nobody wants? When I considered using ads to test an idea, I encountered another problem: I didn’t know what to write in them. I could invent headlines, benefits and promises, but they would still be guesses. I didn’t know which problems customers cared about most, what they had already... Read more
This is one of the first things I check when I look over someone's account. What I see here is so common I expect it at this stage. View: https://youtu.be/bB_3kN1uN7g?si=kw7-Rl0IBUiO7VoZ
Hey guys I could use your help: I'm the #1 Final Expense life insurance salesperson at my company — but I don't own an asset. Trying to decide whether to walk away and build one. Want the group's read. For several years I've been the top Final Expense producer here, still one of the best in the country. The founders have been incredibly good to me, and it's a special place — flexible carrier, high comp, strong renewals, great culture. The problem: I don't own anything sellable. We are... Read more
Dear friends, In this public thread, I'm going to share the main lessons I've learned (often from my mistakes) since the beginning of my journey. Some of these lessons have already been highlighted by Michael Jackson and in classic personal development. For those who don't know me, my name is Thibaut, I'm 20 years old, and a year ago I founded a healthy snack brand specializing in air-popped popcorn (I'm the only French brand making it). I launched with no prior knowledge of... Read more
Aaggghhh... I was hoping to come back with a big "result" style thread but I am still in the trenches. What has been happening so far: - Moved from web design into sales funnels. It is way more in line with my skills and has a LOT of potential if I can crack it - The idea is to be the guy people work with to get a lot more leads and a lot more sales - Already worked with over 20 agencies, freelancers and businesses last year... it went very well This year so far... - Got the sickest I... Hello all. I just started my second year on this forum and have listened to all of MJ's audiobooks (often more than once). I'm launching a new SaaS and hoping to get some feedback and advice! Product Third Age Portfolio A Marketing Tool Aimed at Those Entering the Next Chapter of Their Lives Third Age Portfolio – The Middle Age Marketing Tool for Advisors, Agents and Coaches Concept and Backstory A friend and business associate of 30+ years came up with this idea: a... This thread is a continuation, or evolution, of my initial progress thread . My Personal Pain Points : June 2022: I rescued my adult male Rottweiler, Klaus. He had some major issues like extreme reactivity to other dogs (he even bit one in the face while on a walk within the first weeks I had him), severe separation anxiety (he broke out of my apartment, smashed one of my car windows, and is an expert at crate escape), and he was terrified of going potty in front of... Reflections from this article just release from the Atlantic, which basically exposes the Fastlane as life's financial cheat-code, and as such, is more of a "pay your fair share" tax drivel. Americans Don’t Understand Who’s Rich If you have Apple News, you need to access it from there. Here is the AI summary of the article from the Fastlane perspective... ### AI SUMMARY Summary: The Mainstream Media’s Belated Discovery of the Fastlane Recent coverage by The Atlantic ... Read more
Salut mes Fastlaners! I would like to start with a BIG THANK YOU to Mr. DeMarco! You have changed my life in the best way possible. First, my Reticular Activating System. Now, because of you, I can see value everywhere! My micro-processes, such as learning to focus, meditating, journaling, questioning myself and my environment, reading and putting what I read into action, and much more than I can recall. I can see everything as a process now. Why am I here? I live in France, in Toulouse... Read more
I’ve been thinking about a simple approach to finding product ideas from customer pain points, and I’d love to get some feedback. The basic idea is to look for recurring problems in existing products rather than trying to come up with an idea from scratch. Here’s the process I’m thinking about: 1. Pick a niche/product category For example, choose a product on Amazon that has multiple competing brands and a large number of reviews. 2. Look specifically at 3-star reviews ... Read more
