I have yet to ever load a wadcutter and I didnt want to hijack the other gentleman's post. I would like to find a good mold to kick off the adventure.... anything but lee.... pictures would be very helpful, and why you prefer that version. I can size and lube or pc... this is what I will test my first ever load of Bullseye 2.8 grains if I recall.

Does anybody have experience with the M40? When I close the slide, it hits a point of resistance about halfway through closing (magazine is removed). I just don't know if that is normal or if I have a problem. It has been a long time since I fired it and I just don't remember. This is a Danish police model, so it hasn't been subjected to machine gun ammo like their Swedish counterparts. It is actually a fine example. Any help would be appreciated.

Another few weeks and I'll have a rifle or two to take to my buddies range. These are rifles I have never shot. I have owned them for years. Two are "Bubba" guns I have slowly been working on. This project has taken me one year and four months of every available minute I had free. I purchased this two months after my son was born in 2025, with his development so has this handgun developed. Last fall my son and I took our camper out to where he’d gone to college for a four day father/son bow outing right before Halloween. I have a stock S&W 386 Night Guard to which I've added an extended firing pin and an increased power mainspring. So far, it's been 100% reliable and I'm thinking about carrying it. To improve the gun for concealed carry and am considering bobbing the hammer. However, I am now wondering if the reduced hammer mass could suddenly make the gun less reliable. Was perusing the normal avenues of gun curiosity, found a regular big shot Taurus shill espousing the virtues of the Taurus “Deputy” and how it was second in sales only to the Ruger Vaquero… I find it difficult to believe that Taurus is manufacturing a SAA copy that is outselling both Uberti and Pietta.

I was loading Berry’s DEWC last night and got a slight bulge in one of the cases right below the bottom of the bullet. It just barely won’t chamber. What is the best way to flatten it out.
