Anyone know how to remove the cover (diffuser?) on this strip light? On the each end is a square tab that doesn’t seem to want to pop out so I’m unsure if that’s anything to do with it or not. Anyone got the same? Thanks Mark

I bought a BAO on ebay last week, but the sale fell through - weird seller. I could do with an upgrade to my little Triton TPT125 screamer, although it has been a good machine. There is a Multico TH3 on there but the seller won’t ship it, and it’s too far away to pick up.

I have a DeWalt thickness planer and wanted to run some scraps of walnut through to about 9mm. I know not to run boards that are too short but heard about using a “sled”. Is it worth making something or bad idea in general?

18mm thick, 56.5 cm long black walnut. Was planning on using it for the front of a drawer for my tool chest. But noticed it has a slight bow along its length. I am new to half blond dovetailed drawers and curious if the construction will pull this straight or will it remain wonky? Highest point resting on a straight level is probably 2-3mm above the level

That meant you had to almost turn the workspace over for to find it. Me...? This little "bar steward"... Where did I eventually find it? On the shelf under my mitre-saw fliptop workbench... Whats it for... My little Parkside grinder... changing the disc over and it slipped away... *obvious* place to look was the floor - surely .... At least the 'shop floor got a sweep up as I moved all the units out/about to check under them

Not sure if thats the right term. But anyhoo, I was working on some tools using some folded brass saw backs, and noticed I could usually cut them no problem, and sand and file etc. But a couple of times when filing, all of a sudden the file would kind of "skate" across the brass, and make a higher pitched sound. I have an upcoming operation. I had a scan and then went to see the surgeon. The surgeon didn’t show me the scan, talk about the scan, or say anything about the operation that was specific to me and my case. Does that seem normal? It was just paperwork - sign the consent form - and responding to my questions in a generic (and non-empathetic) way. A roofer was to remove the flue from my workshop in August whilst he covered my new stable roof. It did not happen and he turned up last week whilst I was abroad, so was Mrs PAC1. He then removed a large stainless steel double insulated flue and made a brilliant job of making good. I got home yesterday to see the Office flue on the lawn. The air turned blue for half an hour.
