Has anyone changed the long rear brake line/pipe that runs from the brake cylinder along the axle on the driver's side?. I looks to be a one piece pipe but I can't source one anywhere, or is it a make one up yourself job?

Does anyone know why my Japanese import VW Up car tax is £220 while the UK model with (I’m assuming) the same emissions is so much cheaper. Can anything be done? How might I get confirmation of its emissions?

Hi I have a 2013 Up and in his moment of tidying up the gardens / drive my dad parked my up next to the house close to the wall ( drivers side on a 3 door ) climbed out and locked him (Bart) up I was away for 2 months and when returned the battery is totally dead so wont unlock ( i changed both key batteries ) so i cant unlock the car and climb in via the passenger door ARRGGHHHHHHHHHHH How can i at least open the bonnet from outside so i can charge the battery / replace it to allow the... Help locked out !!

Steering wheel and original gti bezel taken from my own car .. wheel is in good condition. Changed the wheel for a aftermarket one and is it will never go back stock I don’t see the need to keep it

Has anyone else had this? The engine light comes on and the car uses excessive fuel. On scanning it shows O2 sensor fault. The sensor has been changed twice. The crankcase breather valve has also been changed. Once cleared the fault doesn’t show itself for a few weeks. Wondering if there is a short or power drain somewhere?

So total I decided to tackle the upper grill opening mod … had a set of honey comb grill insert printed buy a friend . For the princely sum of £10.. First of all bumper off to undo the clips that keep the upper grill in .. this is also help in by other clips for the lower grill so the complete bumper does need removing to do this Then once the have been detached from each other to she shed we go .. Offered up the insets and mark what I need to cut out and what to leave for a bed to stick... Today’s Boxing Day mods

I have a sad Up GTi it threw up this code and it is very slow. Seems okay below 3k but nothing up top, like I have no Turbo. Any ideas of where I should look first, things I can check before booking it in to a garage? Also if I don't get anywhere debugging myself anyone know of reputable garages in the South West (Bristol) to look into it. It is a stock GTi, no mods.

there is a up cross for sale near me. i have not seen one before. it is a japanese import. has anyone else see one or what other versions are out there that we dont get. am not buying it am happy with my gti
