Hi, So the time has come to plan our second trip to Tassie, which is slotted for mid Jan 2027. We are thinking of being a little more strategic about this time around and hiring a guide for a full day of guiding at the beginning of our trip to give us a bit of a head start on the lakes specifically. Ideally, we would fly into Hobart, do a day with the guide, and then continue our trip armed with more knowledge. Can anyone recommend a guide service that can take a couple of people for a day of guiding? Cheers Ado

Late to the party here but the best rabbit strips for the Fur Fly especially with the Peter Leuver “Fur and Feather” method is untanned rabbit skin/pelt. It folds easily as per the instructions. Source a shooter and ask for the next rabbit they kill if they can skin it for you. Pegged out (flat) or pulled over a stretched coat hanger like a glove, as we did as kids, and air dried in the shade is the easy way to have life time supply of Fur fly material.
