Just some notes about what I am doing with this.. It is something I have wanted to do for a long long time. Last Sunday I flew my first slope glider session with FPV. I'm using a DJI setup and I'm currently using a Zohd Drifter as the airframe as I had one and thought it would be an ok glider. I'll have to take some pictures. Using the DJI O4 Air Unit. I have been wanting to make a modern Ridge Runt for a while. Why a Ridge Runt, they are a fun classic, and I used to work for Hobby Shack back in the day. I have always found them pleasing to the eye and they are a simple plane to build. Seems like enough good reasons for me. So, I have been debating some options. A basic all EPP model? Does anyone have any experience with this build? I was wondering if the wing ships together in one piece or if it’s something that is removable for travel. Hows the flying on a slope?

I know the recommendation is 8mm servos but I just got my Sessanta and the Frsky 5651 I bought for the tail do not fit in the tail opening, they are too thick and will go in at the fwd edge of the opening but you can’t move them aft. Do I grind off some carbon of the fuse back there or get thinner servos? Plus there’s no way to get two servos back there unless one is mounted fwd never to be seen again - is that the design intent? Any help appreciated….

Another purchase from Aloft. After gluing the pine main spare to the leading edge bottom sheeting the plans call for gluing the sheer web piece F-03. Needs to be exactly center so I dry fitted ribs over it to self center. After sheer is glued the whole wing half gets built on top of the cardboard two piece jig supplied. Tape the two pieces together and cover with wax paper. From there it’s easy. Just pin down the trailing edges and glue on the ribs. I suggest dry fitting F-04 before gluing... Read more

I know this is an old model. I am a first time DLG builder with Fireworks flow 5 kit. I have found that this spring is very stiff and would require a lot of static load. So I don't know if that is expected or if the wrong spring was used. It looks very difficult to replace this spring. Any ideas? Thanks.

Bought the RB25S a few weeks ago and am struggling with the option enabling/disabling switching ability between different Gyro banks. Running Ethos and using latest RB25S firmware 3.0.6 with LUA version 2.1.11 am unable in setting up the switching between gyro banks. Followed the manual - using switch SC and ch11 and assigned 1 bank for each SC position however flipping SC does not do anything. No clue what am doing wrong or missing. Any help would be much appreciated.

I originally started out making this glider and modify it for High Launch. I've changed my mind and have decided to go electric with it. What might be a recommendation for an adequate motor? Also, what are you folks using for the rudder and elevator hinge? Thanks!
