Free service manuals.

I ran into a video by Louis Rossman who talked about a free site with all sorts of service manuals across different manufacturers, model years, and models. Here's a direct link to the BMW section: https://lemon-manuals.la/BMW/ Here's the link to the main site: https://lemon-manuals.la/ Figure I'd share the wealth and pass it on. Oh and there's an ability to download all the pages for offline use.

Attachment 4020013 Fresh from Motorsports, the most track developed set of dampers available for the G8x. Doubt anyone here has seen them before. Attached Images

Aftermarket seats what and how

I’m looking at G87s with and without the carbon buckets, there are not many available that have buckets and very few with the spec I want. I’m therefore wondering if getting comfort seats and swapping these out for aftermarket is a better option. Anyone fitted aftermarket and if so, which seats and how difficult to do so? Thanks

Cluster / Screen Brightness

I had the car for over a year now and just realizing this. Is there no way to lower the whole screen brightness? I realize there's the knob on the left and dims the screen but it also dims on the center console, steering wheel and door panel buttons. They have an option for control screen brightness and you can set it to a certain brightness for night time but there's nothing for cluster or just the whole screen. Did some searching but I couldn't find anything, I don't think it's possible. Kind of crazy if it's not

Dealerships are now unlocking ECUs

Saw this post on IG https://www.instagram.com/reel/DctmW...VvajN2dmZ4ZmFn Apparently, this BMW dealership and according to the post, all Carbahn affiliated dealers can unlock your ECU for $400. What a time to be alive.

Track days on standard wheels with suspension mods

I’m trying to figure out the best way forward for my new to me G87. I do plan to do a number of track days, but probably only 2 or 3 per year with the rest of the driving as and when, this is not a daily driver. I am planning on getting some suspension mods, mostly likely coilovers (nitron r1 or kw), camber plates and other supporting arms (suspension secrets club sport equivalent). My question is mainly about wheels and perhaps tyres. A set of square 19 with something like nankang crs is likely a little rich for me given then number of days I will do, so I am wondering if simply getting another set of OEM wheel off eBay and sticking some track day rubber on these will be sufficient. There is a set available locally (826m) with pilot sport cup 2 on, decent condition and never tracked. Is this a better option and then use this until the tyres are dead and get something else fitted? Thoughts? Thanks in advance
